The Karuizawa New Art Museum is pleased to present an exhibition by world-renowned architect Kengo Kuma. Kengo Kuma's buildings are often close to nature and incorporate its elements, typically using wood and stone as representative materials, with an awareness of harmony with the surrounding landscape.
The exhibition "Kengo Kuma: Landscape Architecture" at the Karuizawa New Art Museum will feature a number of architectural works based on the theme of landscape (natural scenery).
The exhibition venue is composed of various architectural works inspired by hills, mountains, forests, and caves, which can be experienced through models, photographs, drawings, and videos.
The various works and materials exhibited at the venue will be displayed in such a way that visitors can appreciate them from various angles as if they were visiting actual architectural structures.
This exhibition allows visitors to experience the diversity and beauty of Kengo Kuma's architecture, which exists in various places around the world.
