neXtlab™ and Whitestone Gallery are pleased to present their first project of collaboration “Iridescent Feather”, a group exhibition of a selection of international artists, at TX Huaihai Youth Energy Center in Shanghai.

Whitestone Gallery, founded in 1967 in Tokyo, Japan, has been a leading international gallery promoting Modern and Contemporary Art for over 50 years. The 7 participating young artists in this exhibition are from Japan and China, selected by Whitestone Gallery; through collaboration with neXtlab™, a diverse and pioneering space for art and culture in China, the project hopes to adjoin new generation with artistic spirits.

Entitled “Iridescent Feather”, which is a term from an ancient poem written in Jin Dynasty by Pan Yue, describing a bird with beautiful, colorful feathers, shining in the sunlight. The participating artists in this exhibition, including Yuji Kanamaru, ARTIST miu, Sachiko Kamiki, Ahhi Choi, icco Yoshimura, Jiang Miao and Wu Shuang, have different upbrings, and each of them has distinctive style. This exhibition will show how they create with their unique techniques, and various approaches to the themes they want to explore and present to the audience. We hope that “Iridescent Feather” will be able to showcase the exuberance of the artists through their creations, of different elements, textures, and energies.
