PROFILE

Aruta Soup is a street artist whose work combines anime culture and British-specific humor. At the age of 17, he studied at Camberwell College of Arts in London and became immersed in graffiti and club culture in East London. Because of that, his work began to address timely issues, society, and people's psychological states. The artist's visual lexicon features a bandaged Rabbit character named ZERO, who frequently appears as wounded but reviving, which represents both the inner struggles and optimistic spirit of the artist within a chaotic world.
After returning to Japan in 2012, Aruta Soup held solo exhibitions in Shibuya Seibu, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, and participated in numerous art fairs. His burgeoning talent gained recognition in the contemporary art world with his collaboration with Medicom Toy and CASETiFY.
