에가미 에츠

Etsu Egami는 1994년 지바현 출생으로 일본, 중국, 유럽을 중심으로 활약하며, 왕성한 전시를 이어가고 있는 화제의 젊은 작가이다. 독일 HFG(The Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design), 베이징 중앙미술학원에서 공부했으며, 풍부한 해외 경험으로 커뮤니케이션을 테마로 창작 활동을 이어 가고 있다.

그녀는 특히 언어를 통해 사회를 재고하는 것에 관심이 있으며, 그녀의 활동은 광범위한 현장 연구와 자료들로 국제적인 찬사를 받았다. 가장 최근의 작품 활동은 다음과 같다: 「In to the light... Etsu Egamisolo show」(독일), 「Dialogue beyond 400 years」(런던), 「This is not a Mis-hearing game」(베이징), 「대화 4000년-Etsu Egami 개인전」(치바시 예술문화 신인상 수상). 그녀는 또한 치바시 미술관 학예사 Megumi Hatai의 강력한 추천에 의해, 젊은 작가의 등용문이라고 일컬어지는 VOCA 전시회 2020(우에노 왕립 박물관)에 참가했다. Egami는 현재 가장 주목받고 있는 젊은 현대 아티스트 중 한 명이다.

VOCA 전시회는 일본 전국의 미술관 학예사, 언론인, 연구자 등을 초청해 40세 이하의 젊은 작가를 선정해, 새로운 2차원 작품을 전시하는 방식으로 전국 각지의 뛰어난 재능의 예술가들을 소개하고 있다. 공모전에 선발된 예술가들은 독보적인 존재로, 현재와 미래의 글로벌 아트 시장에서 큰 저력을 보여주고 있다. VOCA전시회는 1994년 제1회전에서 무라카미 다카시, 1997년에는 나라 요시토모 등 일본 미술계를 구축한 작가들을 배출했다.
