This collaboration is based on the exhibition ‘Now and Beyond.’ Go Yayanagi's artistic style is rich in exoticism, emphasizing the harmony between nature and life, which strongly resonates with Snow Peak's philosophy of outdoor living aesthetics. Inspired by the fusion of art and outdoor culture, the collaboration aims to create an immersive exhibition experience with a camping atmosphere, allowing visitors to feel a classic Safari tour-like adventure.

In Go Yayanagi's works, zebra-striped black lines frequently appear in circular and irregular movements. Additionally, his compositions often draw inspiration from comic layouts, juxtaposing natural, animal, and cultural elements within the frame to create stories. We have integrated Snow Peak's camping gear—such as camping chairs, fire pits, and lanterns—into the exhibition space to evoke a sense of being close to nature, observing wildlife, and immersing in a camping atmosphere, which serves as the core of our curatorial approach.

In addition, the exhibition venue is the Whitestone Gallery Taipei, designed by renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, making it an artistic and design masterpiece in itself.
The high-end outdoor camping brand Snow Peak, based in Niigata, Japan, has had an extensive collaboration with Kengo Kuma over the years, co-designing various spaces together. These include the Jyubako, a camper-like mobile cabin, as well as facilities such as the resort at Snow Peak’s Niigata headquarters and the Landstation complex in Hakuba, Nagano. This further highlights the underlying connection between the cultural aesthetics of Whitestone Gallery and Snow Peak.
