上前智祐

上前智祐1920年出生在京都。他是具体美术协会的一员，作为一个抽象艺术家创造了他独特的世界。上前经历了各种工作，如起重机操作员和京都传统染色厂的学徒，学习中国的「南画」，然后转向油画。1953年，上前认识了吉原，从那时起，这位艺术家参加了每一场具体派的展览，直到其解散。不论是他通过绘画刀或绵线缝纫所重复组成图案的二维作品，或是由木材及木屑构筑的雕塑作品，上前作品的广度都可追溯至他年轻时多元的工作经验值。他使用的所有颜色都是日本的传统颜色，或者是遵循日本传统的颜色组合。上前熟练地将传统和原创性融合为一种风格。
