"RONALD VENTURA: Grey Avenue" at Whitestone Ginza New Gallery marks the artist's return to the gallery after five years since his solo exhibition, "RONALD VENTURA: Comic Lives," in 2018. Filipino artist Ronald Ventura explores the potential of the hypercar as a medium of artistic expression in this current exhibition.

The exhibition's opening reception featured a unique collaboration on January 14, 2024. The renowned and globally captivating classic Porsche styled by Akira Nakai (RWB), renowned for its unique and one-of-a-kind design, showcased Ventura's original skin for the event. This exclusive collaboration, lasting only one day, drew the attention of collectors, art enthusiasts, and car collectors.

1973年出生於菲律賓馬尼拉的羅納德・溫杜拿，現今仍居住於當地並持續進行創作，是在東南亞區域的同世代藝術家當中受到高度評價的其中一人。溫杜拿的繪畫與雕塑作品，題材富含層層意喻，在東南亞當代藝術當中展現出獨特風格。他的作品特徵是圖像與手法交疊出繁複層次，橫跨超現實主義、漫畫、塗鴉等多樣題材。而將作品層次化的創作過程，也隱喻著菲律賓這個國家多元化的身份認同，除了土著文化，加上數世紀以來，受到西班牙、日本、美國各方勢力所佔領後的深厚影響，衍生出複雜、時而不安定的身份認同。溫杜拿透過東方與西方、社會身份的高低、老與弱的圖像，企圖喚起人們對歷史性與心理現象的意識並深入挖掘，這在其作品中古典繪畫巨作與美日漫畫的圖像結合上可見意蘊。溫杜拿關注到一般大眾在無意識之中配戴上的所謂「文化意義」這「第二層皮膚」，將其視為「具表現性的表面」，在既有文化元素上進行紋身雕刻，在層層圖像的隱喻下，作為揭露內心幻想與糾葛的發表場域。
