Whitestone Gallery Seoul is pleased to announce a solo exhibition by Kappao, opening on December 13th. Known for her witty reinterpretations of everyday moments through various mediums such as ceramics, painting, and installation, Kappao has attracted attention for her unique artistic style. Her ceramic works, primarily crafted from clay, have a rustic warmth that reflects her distinctive artistic approach. The paintings and installations, with their bold colors and free-flowing drawings, express her joyful and intimate view of daily life.

In this exhibition, Kappao expands her exploration of everyday themes by addressing the concept of "boundaries." Kappao, who studied Decorative Arts at the Brera Academy in Italy, has developed a varied artistic practice that includes painting, photography, crafts, and sculpture. Her works often feature simple, optimistic shapes and blend soft, poetic colors with a sense of visual balance to convey messages that are both light and deeply meaningful. Her pieces evoke emotions like calm happiness, warm comfort, and a genuine sense of joy, often tapping into universal human experiences.
Beyond her numerous exhibitions in Korea and internationally, Kappao has created playful sculptures and murals for the National Children's Museum, fostering a stronger connection with the public. Her collaborations with brands in design, furniture, and fashion have pushed the boundaries of her art, highlighting her unique creative perspective.
