MIWA KOMATSU: Sense of Sacredness

Whitestone Gallery Singapore is pleased to announce the solo exhibition of Miwa Komatsu “Sense of Sacredness”.
The creative philosophy proposed by Komatsu Miwa, "The Great Harmonization," suggests that all living beings are equal at the soul level and that every entity can coexist while maintaining its individuality. This philosophy is also a theory of life. At its core lies the primal sense of awe that every human possesses, a universal sacred feeling that transcends specific religions. Komatsu Miwa has named this the "Sense of Sacredness."
Komatsu Miwa engages in live painting as one of her artistic expressions. However, it is not merely a performance; it is a solemn ceremony that serves as an awakening to the "Sense of Sacredness."

ARTIST
1984年出生於日本長野縣。
畢業於女子美術大學短期大學部。現任女子美術大學特別招聘教授丶東京藝術大學非常勤講師。
就讀於女子美術大學期間，銅版畫作品《四十九日》受到讚譽，因而踏上了藝術家之路。
從銅版畫開始，近年作品媒材拓展到丙烯顏料及有田燒等。
從年幼時期對看不見的世界而來的感受，以及在豐富的自然的環境下親近各式各樣的生物，塑造了萬物有靈丶眾生平等之生死觀，以優越且充滿力量的表現力，發表以神獸等為主題的作品。
倫敦切爾西花展上展出的有田燒彩繪狛犬作品《天地的守護獸》，被大英博物館收藏，成為常設展品。作品被許多知名博物館和機構收藏，包括紐約世界貿易中心丶長野縣美術館丶廣島Woodone美術館丶中國山東省日照市瀟美術館丶島根的出雲大社丶日本駐克利夫蘭總領事官邸丶日本迪士尼等等。
於世界各地舉辦個展，進行現場創作，持續不斷的進行創作，提倡“The Great Harmonization”（大和諧）為創作理念並將融入創作之中。
