MIYAKO TERAKURA
MIYAKO TERAKURA
Terakura graduated from the Tokyo University of the Arts in 2017 and pursued a master’s programme in Crafts (Ceramics) in 2020. Additionally, she spent half a year studying at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Poland in 2018. Terakura’s artistic style is distinctive, as she combines slip-casting and hand-building techniques to create stunning ceramic sculptures portraying infants and children. Through her work, Terakura aims to symbolise naivety and remind viewers of the undiluted stage of life.
