向井修二
大阪美術学校在学中の1959年、第8回具体美術展に出展。以後、解散まで具体美術協会に所属する。向井作品は記号の集積を特徴とし、時には自らの身体をも埋め尽くす。第10回具体展（1961）、具体ピタコテカでの個展（1962）、ジャズ喫茶「チェック」の全館記号化（1966）など、現在まで続くインスタレーションのスタイルを活動初期から確立する。1969年にはすべての平面作品を焼却するハプニングを行うなど、常に時代の風潮とリンクした姿勢が注目されてきた。NYグッゲンハイム美術館具体回顧展（2013）、ヴェネツィア・フォルトゥーニ宮殿（2015）での制作も記憶に新しい。2017年には、NYソーホーにリニューアル・オープンするルイ・ヴィトンソーホー店の内装インスタレーションを担当（ピーター・マリーノ監修）、多方面から注目を浴びる。
